Chicken Choila in 15 minutes

Hello Everyone!!

I have prepared a very easy but quite popular dish in Nepal called Choila. This is normally prepared with buffalo grilled meat. However, for day-to-day easy serve, I have prepared this dish with boiled chicken and it is as easy to prepare as it looks.

Here, I have separated my ingredients into 3 sections to make it easy to understand. I have,

Ingredients 1

600 g of diced chicken
salt (2 teaspoon)

Ingredients 2

spring onion (3-4 chopped)
tomatoes (2 chopped)
green chillies (6-7 finely chopped)
coriander (6-7 chopped)
lemon (1)
dried chilli flakes (2 teaspoon, optional)
cumin powder (2 teaspoon)
coriander powder (2 teaspoon)
salt (to taste)
red onions (3 sliced)
red chilli powder (3-4 teaspoon, optional)
olive oil (5-6 tablespoon)
ginger-garlic paste (1 tablespoon)

Ingredients 2

olive oil (3-4 tablespoon)
fenugreek seeds (1 teaspoon)
turmeric (3 teaspoon)
cumin seeds (3 teaspoon)

Instructions

First of all, boil water in a vessel. While water is boiling, add chicken and 2 teaspoon of salt. Boil chicken for 7-8 minutes. Do not overcook chicken to avoid rubbery and chewy texture. After chicken is cooked, drain water.

Mix ingredients 1 and 2 in 1 big bowl.

Then, in one pan, heat olive oil and add fenugreek and cumin seeds. When seeds turn into dark brown add turmeric powder and immediately add this to other ingredients.

Lastly, mix everything together.
